Vision and Mission Statement

Acts 2:46-47 NIV:  “Everyday they continued to meet together…they broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.”

 Vision

L.I.F.E. Groups  at First Pentecostal Church are dynamic places to grow and learn as members reach out to one another as they reach up to God.  Our vision is three fold:

1.  GROW in relationship with God

2.  GROW in relationship to one another

3.  GROW in number and multiply into another small group

Mission

Why L.I.F.E. Groups?

1.       Care is given:  Group members minister to the needs of the others in the group in an atmosphere of love and fellowship.

2.      Discipling takes place:  Mature L.I.F.E. group members demonstrate what it is to be a Christian inside the Church building as well as outside the Church.  Less mature saints learn to live a Christian life on a daily basis.

3.     Fellowship is provided:  L.I.F.E.  groups give the members a chance to experience genuine community.

4.     Spiritual gifts are exercised:  In L.I.F.E. groups, opportunities abound in which spiritual gifts can be developed and exercised.

5.     Many points of entry into the Body of Christ:  Some people will not come to a Church, even if invited.  L.I.F.E. groups offer new entry points into the Body of Christ where those individuals can be ministered to.

6.     Leaders are developed:  Each L.I.F.E.  group has a leader that facilitates the group.  This gives more opportunities to experience the fulfillment that comes from leading others to a deeper understanding of Christ.

7.     Accountability is provided:  Members of the group are accountable to one another as well as to the group as a whole.  Each member is responsible for helping the group fulfill the vision.

8.    Christianity is modeled in the home:  Christianity is brought into homes where the entire family can witness the workings of Christ.  Christian homes become a place of prayer, worship and Bible study.
