Compassion in Liberia

We are excited to announce that the clinic in Liberia after being closely monitored for over a year and a half has been upgraded to a Health Unit by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The next step will be gaining hospital status. The clinic continues to do a wonderful job of treating hundreds of people who would other wise not get appropriate medical care. CSI is honored to be a part of the work in Liberia.

From May 2012-July 2012 the clinic treated 718 patients. The clinic was happy to report no deaths during this time frame. Thank God for using this clinic to save lives. The most common sickness treated was Malaria with 349 cases and 7 complicated pediatric Malaria cases. The clinic also saw 29 babies born, treated multiple motorcycle accident victims and saw 8 patients with 2nd degree burns. This was in addition to the normal cases of infected wounds, UTIs, Pneumonia and Typhoid to name a few. The clinic stays busy helping the local people.

CSI thanks all of our donors for making it possible to support the clinic in Liberia. [...] We couldn’t do it without you.
