I’ll Be Nice for Christmas
Shopping during the Christmas season can be especially hectic. Too many people, too few parking spaces. Everyone is out at the same time, trying to do the same thing…begin and complete all Christmas shopping in the month of December!
Now, we could have planned ahead and had all our shopping done and our gifts wrapped, but where’s the fun in that? No. We would rather brave the mall-minefields in December and pray that our pocketbooks don’t get blown to smithereens! (Some people just work better under pressure) But as we prepare to enter the “warzone” and catch all the sales, we can’t forget to take the Holy Ghost with us.
Things to remember while you’re shopping…
* It’s not the cashier’s fault that the lines are so long. They weren’t that long in September when you should’ve been shopping.
* That lady who is shopping with all 7 of her bad, screaming children probably had to bring them because her sitter took the day off to go shopping. Pray for her.
* Don’t be upset if you have to walk a mile from your car to the mall. Any weight you lose while shopping will be regained while eating. It’s a wash.
* Be kind to the elderly. Yes, even the one that stole the parking space you were waiting for and, consequently, made you walk a mile from your car to the mall.
*Jesus could come back while you’re giving some poor, clueless Penney’s employee a good cussing. Don’t let an idiot cause you to miss the rapture…just talk to a different clerk.
* You are a Christian. Say it…I am a Christian.
JESUS is the reason for the season!
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. – Isaiah 9:6
