Our Mission Statement:

The mission of the Deaf Ministry is to share the Gospel with the Deaf through Home Bible Studies, interpretation of services and functions, and provide encouragement and support to the Deaf community.

Our mission supports the “EVANGELIZE“, “EDIFY” and “ENCOURAGE” portions of the overall mission of First Pentecostal Church.

Interpretation times:

Sundays – 10am and 6pm
Wednesdays – 7pm
Other function times as announced

Services provided:

Reserved seating for Deaf (See Greeters or Ushers at the door)
Interpretation of all English-speaking services and functions (Prayer Meetings, Banquets, etc)
Home Bible Studies tailored for Deaf
Sign Language Classes

Sign Language Classes for 2013 (Classes are 19 weeks):

January 24 – May 30 (Thursdays – 6:30pm – 8pm)

Classes are usually held in the FPC Spanish Sanctuary
(use Southeast Entrance)

Sign Language Class Requirements:

This is an Adult Education Class.
With prior permission, children ages 12-15 may be enrolled with an enrolled parent or guardian. (Please email before enrolling children – silenthands@cox.net)
Fees received after enrollment deadline will be returned.
$50 fee includes: Book, CD and printed materials (Subject to change)
$25 fee for returning students who are refreshing or making up missed classes
You provide: 3-ring notebook, paper, (30) 3×5 index cards, pen and pencil
