Pentecostals in the Philippines

Sasa, Davao City – Missionary Cogan has given me the opportunity to coordinate and schedule the chapel services at Apostolic Institute of Ministries. We have decided that Wednesdays will be staff and guest speaker’s chapel and Student Chapel is held on Thursdays. We have had one guest speak with us this month and have several others scheduled for the rest of the year. We have had a tremendous time in the presence of the Lord during our services and it is always exciting to witness our students praying in the alter and seeking after God. I have been give the task to coordinate the Evangelism efforts of A.I.M. Each weekend our students go out to assigned churches and assist the pastors in outreach, music, Bible Studies, Sunday School, etc. The students are experiencing “hands on” training while on assignment and are bringing back good reports of the moving of God on the island of Mindanao.

Calinan, Davao City – Monica and I were able to attend service at a Pioneer work of an alumni of Apostolic Institute of Ministries. The Pastor, Shem Deda, graduated in 2008 and has since started a church! The church was located in the back of an internet cafe with a basement-like atmosphere to it. At the beginning of service there were about 15 other people besides us and by the end there were over 30. Monica sang a song and I played the piano and after that anyone who wanted to sing was given the opportunity. Missionary John Cogan preached and there was a great move of God. Continue to keep Pastor Deda and his church in your prayers.
