THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR REQUEST​

WHAT IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT?
Used for information awareness, alerts, and advertisements sent to everyone who has the FPC app and has "opted in" to receiving app notifications.

  • Example:  “Welcome Baby Revi!”, “Cancellations”, “10 Days Left to Register!”

WHAT DO I NEED TO SAY?
Because text on an image is sometimes too small to read, the information written to your audience SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE TEXT OF YOUR ANNOUNCEMENT OR FORM.
  1. Think about your audience, put yourself in their shoes and answer the questions they would have.
  2. IMPORTANT: Put your text in narrative form, like you're speaking to your audience. (See examples of previous announcements in Latest Announcements on the home page of our app.)
  3. ​It should include information such as description, dates, times, location, cost, instructions, etc. Generally, your audience shouldn't still have questions after reading your post.

WHAT IS A FORM?
Used for information collection, sign-up sheets, and registrations. 

  • Example:  
    • ​Form - Collect Info Only:  FPC Veterans Memorial Plaque
    • Form - Sign Up Only (no money):  50+ Potluck Sign-up Sheet
    • Form - Sign Up and Collect Money:  God's Girls Registration

WHAT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE? 
​You can have an announcement, a form, or both for any event.

  • "Announcement" example:  REACHTOBER Door Knocking! 
    • Applies to the whole church
    • Not collecting information or money
  • "Form" example:  Media Missions T-shirt Order Form
    • Applies to a small group
    • Collecting information and/or money
    • If there is no accompanying announcement, a link to the form will be sent to the requestor to distribute to others
  • "Both" example:  FORGED Men's Conference
    • Applies to the whole church
    • Collecting information and/or money
    • A link to the form will be included in the announcement
WILL MY FORM APPEAR ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA?
​Only announcements for public-facing events for outreach purposes will be posted to our Facebook or Instagram accounts.
  • Example:  Door-knocking campaigns, city-wide events (STAND Rally), large events inviting other churches, District events​​

GRAPHICS:
  • "LANDSCAPE" is the best orientation, if you provide your own picture for your announcement or form. It is the default orientation of a Powerpoint slide.
  • "PORTRAIT" will shrink your message down considerably. ​
